Workshops Overview

The workshops started with a playful introduction to get participants warmed up. In the first "brainstorming phase", participants wrote down words they associated with pictures and music presented. The pictures included the EU flag, a blind map of Europe, Rembrandt's "The Abduction of Europa" and a recording of Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 by the Péter Sárik Trio. After underlining the most important words, participants discussed their thoughts. In the second "World Café phase", participants divided into groups and wrote down their experiences, ideas and thoughts on three topics: "Europe and me", "Europe and reality" and "Europe and imagination/hope". The participants took turns at different tables and "table leaders" were selected beforehand.

Participants Feedback

All participants enjoyed the workshops and had a lot to share. They found the topics relevant to them personally and professionally. The informal chat and exchange of thoughts was well-received by the participants. The "Words of Europe" workshops in Budapest were a success, providing an opportunity for participants to explore Europe through art, music and discussion. The playful introduction, brainstorming phase and World Café phase were effective in getting participants to think deeply and share their thoughts on Europe. Faktor Terminál Association and Szubjektív Értékek Alapítvány are proud to have provided this platform for participants to engage with each other and express their perspectives on Europe.
