Within the framework of WP4, 19 workshops on participatory democracy were organized across various locations, including Melliha, Sofia, Bari, Ventotene, Turin, Arques, and multiple cities in Hungary such as Bánk, Nagyharsány, Budapest, and Debrecen. These events brought together participants from 18 European countries.
The workshops, designed to engage diverse groups, utilized tailored strategies to ensure inclusivity and relevance. Activities ranged from brainstorming sessions to interactive discussions, all aimed at encouraging participants to reflect on and share ideas about democratic participation. Partners benefited from an online training session led by Altera, which provided a cohesive framework for the workshops and introduced various participatory methods.
A significant outcome of WP4 was the creation of the Hub of Existing Resources About the Forms of Democratic Participation . This deliverable compiles best practices and knowledge gathered during the workshops, serving as a valuable resource for future initiatives promoting democratic engagement. The series not only raised awareness but also showcased innovative approaches to foster meaningful citizen involvement in democratic processes.
