In October 2024, Words of Europe celebrated its journey with a mix of in-person and online events, bringing together partners, participants, and the public to showcase its achievements and introduce the next chapter: Ways of Europe.
Festival of European Words (Brussels, October 22–23)
This in-person event in Brussels highlighted the project’s creative and participatory spirit. Workshops, debates, and artistic showcases explored the intersection of art and politics, emphasizing how creativity can inspire inclusive participation. Partners presented the Words of Europe Participatory Vocabulary, a collection of key terms transformed into artworks, and shared strategies to amplify underrepresented voices in shaping Europe’s future.
Online Transnational Event (October 30)
The online conference provided a platform to reflect on the project’s impact and engage a wider audience. Participants explored Words of Europe’s accomplishments, shared insights, and previewed the upcoming Ways of Europe initiative. The launch of the Participatory Vocabulary sparked discussions on how art can bridge cultural, political and linguistic divides.
