From October 2023 to February 2024, nine in-person events were held across multiple cities, including Arques, Rome, Turin, Budapest, and Esztergom, engaging participants from 14 countries. These workshops aimed to co-create participatory models to strengthen democratic engagement and foster creative approaches to civic participation.

The events featured diverse activities, including artistic workshops, group discussions, and interactive sessions using methodologies like the World Café. Participants explored the use of arts, such as cinema, music, and theater, as tools for fostering dialogue and engagement. Target groups included students, marginalized communities, young professionals, and cultural circles, ensuring a broad spectrum of perspectives.

A key outcome of the events was the development of innovative participatory models tailored to different contexts. These models incorporated creative expressions like collages, performance art, and music, designed to make participation accessible and inclusive. The workshops also provided valuable insights into the role of arts in promoting community cohesion, political justice, and inclusive dialogue.

The events laid the groundwork for creating sustainable participatory practices while contributing to the collective goals of the Words of Europe project. Insights and best practices from these activities have been documented in a deliverable to guide future initiatives on democratic participation.
